Interior design intervention in a fourth-floor apartment within a historic Altbau building, with a reconfiguration of the layout to meet the functional needs of a young family.

The project involved optimizing spatial flow and reorganizing key areas, including relocating the kitchen next to the living room and opening a structural wall to improve connectivity. A custom glass-and-metal partition was designed to allow visual continuity and enhance natural light.

The design included custom furniture and lighting for the living room, multiple layout studies for the kitchen, and a definition of the bedroom areas. Several evolving layout options were developed for the children’s room to adapt over time.

We also focused on the design of built-in wardrobes with tailored internal organization, the functional division between the children’s room and the study, and partition cabinetry for the latter. The project encompassed the color and material concept, contractor selection, and site supervision.
